Cold

I feel like the cold my friend Welk has is being given to me. That worries me because the last thing I can do is miss more classes. Then I feel bad because if I do go then I might give it to other students. But then again the way germs pass through a class environment, they will probably get it eventually anyways. That strangely makes me feel better. So hot foods and drinks and enough sleep to tide over Rip Van Winkle and I should be right as rain by Monday. :) The soundtrack helping bring me back to life is Year of the Black Rainbow by Coheed and Cambria. Mostly just the tracks Guns of Summer and Pearl of the Stars to be honest. XD Now to go try and have fun this weekend without dying.

A Somber Return Home

So I just found out yesterday that my grandfather died. He was taking a nap when he had a heart attack and died. I have been really close to my grandfather since I was born. I feel devastated and confused. Every time I think about it my head gets fuzzy. I think I just haven't come to terms with it yet. I leave early tomorrow morning for home to see "him". At this point I believe that the shell being put in the box is no more my grandfather than the box itself. I firmly believe that he is with his savior and waiting for everyone else to join him. He was a very kind man. He also always knew just what to say or do to relieve the tension in any situation. He only made really serious topics things he did not joke about. He was also very smart. He did not go through much schooling, but he had worked hard his entire life and knew all that the world had in store for someone in their lifetime and was always willing to share those experiences. I really have nothing else I can say at the moment. Please keep me, the rest of my family, and my grandfather in your prayers for the next few years.

Theyre back!!!!

Sorry that it is a day late, but at least something is being posted. Today I'm reviewing one of my personal favorite movies: Return of the Killer Tomatoes. This hilarious comedy from 1988 and directed by John De Bello is very over-the-top but plays it off well. It not only pokes fun at itself but at the previous movie Attack of the Killer Tomatoes as well. The story is set twenty-five years after the first movie and stars George Clooney in one of his earliest films as the sidekick Matt Stevens. The rest of the main cast are: John Astin as evil Professor Gangreen, Anthony Starke as the main character Chad Finletter (who is the nephew of Wilbur Finletter the sidekick but more popular character in the previous movie), and Karen M. Waldren as Chad's girlfriend Tara Boumdeay. Without ruining the plot, professor Gangreen is at it again and has created a chamber to turn tomatoes into people through toxic waste and music and is trying to rule the world. It is up to Chad and Matt to stop him (after many cliches, puns, and general shenanigans along the way.) A link to the first part of the video is here. My First Post

This is my first blog. I plan to post bi-weekly, I will probably talk about music or movies I enjoy or that I was disappointed in. Probably I will post on Wednesday and Friday of each week. To start off I am just getting into a band called MGMT. They have a funky feel to them. The lyrics are odd, but in a well thought out way, much like Modest Mouse.
